Connect to Gemini using an API key.

  1. Navigate to https://ai.google.dev/aistudio, then log in using your Google account.

  2. Agree to legal notice by Google.

  3. Navigate to https://aistudio.google.com/app/u/1/apikey; choose Create API Key in a new project if you don't have a Google Cloud Project already, or select from an existing project if you do.

  4. Click copy on the generated key. Important: Keep your API Key private. Please do not share it to avoid unauthorized use.

  5. On the Add-Ons, go to Settings → API Key Settings. Paste the value, then click Save.

  6. In the API key you just generated, select "Set Up Billing" and follow the instructions until you finish.
